Doctor Shamaeva: energy drinks, spices and semi-finished products provoke the development of gastritis, doctor Alisova told how to restore the gastric mucosa

The quality of nutrition directly affects health in general, especially the state of the gastrointestinal tract intestinal tract (GIT). In particular, eating certain foods can contribute to the development of gastritis, warned SM-Clinic gastroenterologist Patemat Shamaeva in a conversation with Gazeta.Ru.

Thus, she included among the products that provoke the development of gastritis and other gastrointestinal diseases: energy and carbonated drinks, as well as lemonades; semi-finished meat products; unnatural sauces; products with a high content of sugar and sweeteners; foods fried in oil and high in calories; fast food; spices that irritate the gastric mucosa.

“If consumed frequently, these products can damage the gastric mucosa and provoke the development of gastritis due to disruption of the cellular mechanisms of restoration of the mucous membrane,” the gastroenterologist warned.
In addition, according to her, long-term or frequent use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs can contribute to the development of the disease , as well as bad habits – smoking, including electronic cigarettes, and drinking alcohol.

“This year there has been a fashion for apple cider vinegar. It is strictly contraindicated for gastrointestinal diseases, as it can lead to their exacerbation. Most often, gastritis and gastric ulcers are aggravated. In addition, such a product is contraindicated for people with high acidity,” added Shamaeva.
Gastroenterologist Alexandra Alisova told specifically for MedicForum which products, on the contrary, are good for gastrointestinal tract and relieve heartburn and acid reflux, as well as restore the gastric mucosa.

“The lining of the stomach plays an important role in digestion, protecting it from the harsh effects of stomach acid and other irritants. Certain foods can help restore the lining of the stomach stomach due to its properties,” says Alisova.
