Doctor Romanenko: a negative reaction to weather changes indicates health problems

not feeling well
Doctor Tatyana Romanenko: the so-called weather dependence is closely related to the pathologies present in the body.

Therapist and cardiologist Romanenko reported that the body’s negative reaction to changes in the weather indicate health problems.

“Most often the body reacts to a sudden change in weather when there is a real health problem. For example, joints can hurt due to injuries or there are disturbances in vascular activity – especially in windy weather,” the doctor shared with Lenta.ru.
Romanenko added that often a negative reaction to weather changes is a signal of existing disorders of the cardiovascular system. For example, heart patients may complain of feeling unwell when the atmospheric pressure increases.

“If there are problems with the cardiovascular system, cold or strong wind can cause an attack of angina,” added the therapist.
In addition, Romanenko noted, the perception of weather can be determined by the psycho-emotional state – the more vulnerable and severe it is, the worse certain climate changes are tolerated. According to the specialist, if an emotionally unstable person does not tolerate weather changes well, this does not mean that he has meteoropathy. Sadness, melancholy, tearfulness or aggression during periods of changeable weather can be a manifestation of hidden tension or stress, depression or overwork from constant overwork and lack of rest.

People with problems in the state of the brain can also react negatively to weather changes – tumors, encephalopathy, epilepsy, poor circulation, head injuries.

Earlier, the MedikForum.ru portal wrote that some people are susceptible to especially dangerous disorders in the heat.
