Gastroenterologist Vladimir Neronov: patients with gastritis suffer due to damage to the gastric mucosa.

Doctor Neronov recalled that in the case of gastritis, people become susceptible to seasonal exacerbations. In particular, the disease worsens in the spring.

“Gastritis has seasonal exacerbations; the disease actively manifests itself in autumn and spring. Patients experience pain in the stomach area, suffer from heartburn, belching and nausea,” said a gastroenterologist at RIAMO.
Vladimir Neronov recalled that gastritis is characterized by damage to the gastric mucosa and its inflammation. This disease occurs when the body becomes infected with the bacterium Helicobacter pylori or is exposed to chemicals. In addition, gastritis is caused by taking medications, smoking, stress, parasites, and unhealthy diet.

The doctor stated that gastritis, left without proper treatment, can have dangerous consequences in the form of processes that destroy the health of the gastrointestinal tract.
< br>“If you start gastritis, complications may arise. For example, those who ignore treatment develop ulcers, peritonitis, stomach cancer, and bleeding,” the specialist warned.
To avoid dangerous complications, Neronov advised putting an end to bad habits and frequent consumption of fast food and industrially processed products. The gastroenterologist noted that there should not be too long intervals in nutrition – it is necessary to eat according to a regimen with pauses between meals of no more than 4-5 hours.

“If the disease already exists, it is important to prevent its aggravation – stick to a diet and be observed by a gastroenterologist,” the doctor summarized.
