Endocrinologist Oleg Iryshkin recalled that one of the most dangerous consequences of a lack of water in the body is the formation of blood clots.

The doctor informed in an interview that with with age, the body's sensitivity to water deficiency decreases, and after 65 years of age, it is necessary to carefully monitor how much fluid is consumed per day. Iryshkin noted that the lack of water in the body is fraught with life-threatening consequences, including blood clots, heart attacks, and stroke.

“At a young age, we well feel the lack of water in the body, but the older we get, the less we feel this deficit. Insufficient amount of water in the body leads to dehydration, which creates a risk of increased blood clots, increasing the risk of heart attack and stroke,” explained Oleg Iryshkin.
The doctor listed the symptoms that may indicate a dangerous lack of moisture in the body.

  • Fatigue quickly.
  • General weakness or malaise.
  • Headache, dizziness.
  • Dark urine.

The expert added that you can replenish the balance of water with any drink, but it is most beneficial to drink liquids that do not contain sugar. Juices and other sweet-tasting drinks immediately contribute to a very significant increase in blood sugar levels – especially if consumed on an empty stomach.

Iryshkin advised coffee lovers to drink water after each serving of the drink.
