Doctor Nadezhda Chernyshova: in fact, there is no categorical ban on mixing alcohol and antibiotics.

Doctor Chernyshova explained in an interview why it is dangerous to mix with alcohol antibiotics and caffeine.

Alcohol and antibiotics.According to Chernyshova, medicine has not established a categorical ban on mixing them. But potentially, a person who takes antibiotics and drinks alcohol may have problems with the more severe side effects of these drugs. In addition, when they are mixed, medicines may not give the desired effect.

“This will worsen the effect of the antibiotic, slow down the treatment, and in some cases may lead to the development of some kind of allergic reactions, that is, an increase in the side effects of drugs, let’s say,” Nadezhda Chernyshova shared with the Pravda.ru portal.
She clarified that when prescribing antibiotics, it is best to discuss with the attending specialist the possibility of combining them with alcoholic beverages. The doctor also reminded:

“Many drugs do not combine well with alcohol, you should always carefully read the instructions for the medicine.”
It should be remembered that when using drugs and alcoholic beverages, the toxicological load on the liver immediately increases very significantly, which adversely affects the body.

Alcohol and caffeine.Chernyshova noted that both of these substances affect the nervous system, and when they are consumed (especially in large quantities), it experiences a tremendous overload. This, in turn, is fraught with the occurrence of mental disorders.

“Alcohol is a neurotropic poison that negatively affects the nervous system. In combination with caffeine, the negative effect will only increase,” the expert concluded.
Earlier, the MedikForum.ru portal wrote about why strong cravings for flour can occur.
