Famous Russian physician and TV presenter Alexander Myasnikov explained why it is believed that cancer can be contracted.

Doctor Myasnikov spoke about contagious diseases. He noted that one can become infected with a wide variety of illnesses, the pathogens of which live in the external environment. The doctor explained that the environment, even comfortable and prosperous at first glance, will still remain aggressive in the biological aspect, this is natural for nature.

“We must approach the environment as polluted and aggressive. It does not matter where you live – in the city or somewhere else – we live in an aggressive environment. The question is not whether it is contagious or not, but how to resist it,” the doctor shared his opinion.
Alexander Myasnikov added: it can be considered that even cancer is contagious. Approximately 17% of all cases in oncology arise from infectious diseases: they include hepatitis, Epstein-Barr virus, infection with the Helicobacter pylori bacterium, and human papillomavirus.

In particular, the doctor specified, liver cancer can be a consequence of untreated hepatitis B.

“Having become infected with hepatitis B or hepatitis C, you automatically become infected with cancer, provided that you live long enough for it to develop into cirrhosis,” Myasnikov warned.
He also called cervical cancer and stomach cancer contagious. In the first case, the primary causative factor is infection with the human papillomavirus during sexual contact, and in the second – a bacterium transmitted through dirty hands.

Myasnikov emphasized that the concept of “contagious cancer” implies infection with precursors to the development of such a disease.

Earlier, the MedikForum.ru portal wrote that one of the side effects of “Ozempic” is an increased risk of thyroid cancer.
