A recent study found that consumption of pickled vegetables may increase the risk of bowel cancer.Oncologist Andrey Vorobyov commented on the study especially for MedicForum.

“Excessive consumption of pickled vegetables may be a risk factor for bowel cancer. While pickled vegetables increased an individual's risk of bowel cancer. Legumes reduce the risk of bowel cancer.”
Symptoms of bowel cancer to look out for include:

• Persistent and unexplained changes in bowel function
• Bleeding< br>• blood in the stool
• extreme fatigue for no apparent reason
• pain or swelling in the abdomen

Although these symptoms may be unnerving if experienced, this does not mean that cancer is definitely the cause .
