Although excess sugar is very harmful to the liver, the organ's health can also suffer if you refuse it.

Daily nutrition has a significant impact on the liver. Doctors representing the medical center at Rush University recommend enriching the daily diet with anti-inflammatory products, the distinctive feature of which is the saturation of antioxidants, to maintain its good health. First of all, you need to eat vegetables and greens – experts advise eating them at almost every meal.

Also, the liver “loves” low-fat protein – its sources are lean meat, poultry, fish, legumes.

One of the most harmful products for the liver is sugar consumed in large quantities. Its amount must be carefully controlled if you want to have a healthy liver at any age. But doctors also named liver-killing foods in the diet of people who do not consume sugar, Rossiyskaya Gazeta reported, citing data from the Greek portal Pronews.gr. In particular, high concentrations of salt and harmful fats negatively affect the condition of the organ.

“If you give up sweet drinks and cakes, but rely on burgers and fried meat, your liver will not feel better. Such food causes inflammation and promotes the accumulation of fat in the organ,” Greek doctors warned.
They also reminded about the harmful effects of smoking, alcohol and uncontrolled medication.

Earlier, the MedikForum.ru portal wrote about which product destroys people's health more than alcohol and smoking, and doctor Alexander Myasnikov shared his opinion on this.
