In cystitis, we are dealing with inflammation of the mucous membrane of the bladder. In most cases, the cause of the disease is bacteria. Due to the peculiarities of the structure of the genital organs, women suffer from cystitis more often than men.
“Due to the fact that the urethra in women is short and wide, and it is located close to the reservoirs of various bacteria and the rectum, women are more likely to get sick cystitis than men,” the doctor explains.
Anyone who has had cystitis at least once knows how unpleasant and painful the symptoms of this pathology are. The urge to urinate is frequent, every trip to the toilet brings pain. The appearance of bloody impurities in the urine is possible.

The expert also notes that when symptoms of cystitis appear, it is important to consult a doctor, and not try to be treated with folk methods and drink herbs. And one more important point – not a gynecologist, but a urologist should treat cystitis.
