Instead of Botox pills with excrement
Can you imagine an alternative to Botox injections in the form of capsules that contain traces of excrement? However, the so-called fecal transplant reverses the biological signs of aging.

Experiments on laboratory mice, conducted by scientists from the University of East Anglia, have shown that fecal transplantation, or the transfer of feces from a person with a healthy intestine to a person with an unhealthy one, may be the secret to rejuvenation. Of course, if these results are repeated in humans. The scientists took fecal samples from young mice and transplanted them into older rodents. This procedure helped reverse the effects of aging on the brain, eyes, and intestines.

The authors of the study believe that replacing old intestinal bacteria with new strains suppresses inflammatory processes in the body. And these same inflammations are becoming more common as we age, and are a key cause of so many age-related health problems. The scientists hypothesized that the aged gut microbiome in older mice weakens the lining of the gut, allowing bacteria to enter the bloodstream and cause inflammation.

To test this theory, they gave the faecal elements of old mice to young ones. In young mice after this transplant, inflammatory processes in the brain and vision problems that are characteristic of aging appeared. Note that this kind of transplantation among humans is already being used to treat E. coli, as well as some gastrointestinal disorders such as colitis, constipation, and irritable bowel syndrome. It is possible that one day patients with age-related disorders will also receive this therapy. (READ MORE) University of East Anglia
