— No strength since morning, no motivation to do something. Drowsiness and sleep disturbance – it’s difficult to fall asleep at night, light sleep, but during the day it’s the opposite,” Volkova noted in her blog.
According to her, heredity plays a significant role in the age of menopause, but not the main one.
“Surgeries, endometriosis, chronic stress, hormonal disorders, taking certain groups of drugs, autoimmune lesions of the ovaries – all this negatively affects the egg reserve,” the doctor wrote.
Menopause is the natural period in a woman’s life when her menstrual cycle ends. Menopause usually occurs between the ages of 45 and 55, although this may vary among women.
During menopause, a woman experiences changes in her reproductive system. Levels of hormones such as estrogen and progesterone decrease, which can cause a variety of physical and emotional symptoms.
Menopause may be associated with long-term health consequences, such as an increased risk of osteoporosis (low bone density) and cardiovascular disease.
One of the most common symptoms of menopause is chills. It is a consequence of impaired thermoregulation due to deficiency of the hormone estrogen. The hypothalamus transmits incorrect signals to the receptors, so a woman feels cold even when the room is warm.
