Nutritionist Tikhanycheva warned about the possible harm of apples to the body. In particular, such harm can be caused by the chemicals present in them.

“Apple trees are often treated with pesticides, and residual amounts of harmful substances can enter the body,” the expert noted in a commentary to the portal “Passion”.
Zhanna Tikhanycheva emphasized that apples should always be thoroughly washed or peeled before consumption. Ideally, you should eat fruits of organic origin or grown yourself.

Another negative aspect associated with eating apples is their high fructose content.

“Although apple fructose is natural and not as harmful as industrially added fructose, if consumed in excess it can cause digestive problems and increase blood sugar levels,” the nutritionist warned.
Tikhanycheva added that apples should be consumed with caution by people prone to obesity, metabolic disorders, diabetes – sweet fruits are usually contraindicated for them. In general, with such health problems, it is best to discuss the presence of fruits in the diet with a doctor.

The nutritionist also drew attention to the fact that apples can contain certain proteins that can cause allergic reactions, including itching, skin rashes and swelling. In addition, these fruits are rich in fiber, and its absorption often becomes too difficult for the digestive tract, causing bloating, flatulence and abdominal pain.
