Nutritionist Sofia Kovanova spoke about the importance of a properly composed breakfast.
Dietitian-nutritionist Kovanova said in an interview that thanks to breakfast, the body replenishes its energy and functional reserves. The way a person eats breakfast affects his eating behavior during the day.
“The more nutritious and varied the breakfast is, the easier it will be to regulate hunger during the day, and it will be possible to reduce the number of snacks,” the expert shared.
Talking with Gazeta.Ru, nutritionist Kovanova advised me to avoid sweets and coffee at the first meal. If breakfast consists of a cup of coffee with some sweet pastries, the consequence could be a sharp jump in sugar levels, the medic warned.
“The right breakfast should contain proteins, healthy fats, fiber and carbohydrates – they will provide the body with energy for the whole day. The ideal morning diet consists of cottage cheese, eggs, various cereals, nuts, unsweetened fruits and berries,” the expert shared.
Kovalova recommended not to eat instant cereal with sugar for breakfast, as well as dry cereals, protein bars, in which manufacturers add sugar. As for raw vegetables and fruits, they can be consumed if there is no problem with stomach acidity – otherwise, bloating will occur.

For those who cannot refuse from sweet, Sofia Kovanova suggested using its alternative in the form of natural sweeteners (for example, honey or maple syrup, etc.) containing vitamins and minerals.
