Russian academician Leo Bockeria spoke about what factors increase life expectancy.

Academician Bokeria stated that the quality of nutrition and physical activity are key factors influencing human life expectancy.

“Proper nutrition, physical activity, and the social conditions in which a person finds himself affect life expectancy,” said a famous heart surgeon in a commentary to Izvestia.
Leo Bockeria noted that from a medical point of view, prolongation of life is facilitated by the prevention of pathologies that most often provoke early mortality. In particular, these are cardiovascular problems, injuries, diabetes, respiratory diseases, and cancer. Among the available methods for their prevention are, first of all, giving up bad habits (overeating, alcoholism, smoking), maintaining a healthy weight and still being physically active.

The academician stated that regular walking is a type of physical activity that has a significant healing effect.

“This is the healthiest form, the most incredible, eye-catching method of healing – this is reliably known,” the scientist shared with Moscow 24.
The heart surgeon added that walking after 50 years is the most preferred type of activity, since more severe loads can already be excessive and harmful to the blood vessels and heart. Also, with age, it becomes especially important to prevent obesity by controlling the amount of food you eat. According to the academician, it is better to give up alcohol altogether.

Earlier, the MedikForum.ru portal wrote that it strengthens blood vessels especially effectively, cardiologist Greta Sargsyan spoke about this.
