Hypertension can develop at any age and at first it does not cause any specific symptoms when abdominal pain appears.
Hypertension, characterized by high blood pressure, is a condition that puts extra stress on the blood vessels and vital organs. Hypertensive hearts have to work harder to pump blood throughout the body. Such a load increases the likelihood of heart attacks and strokes.
A particular problem is that, despite the additional load that blood vessels and the heart experience during hypertension, it often goes unnoticed – experts recalled this in an interview with the Mirror British Heart Foundation.
Doctors named non-obvious signs of hypertension:
8 signs of high blood pressure
“While there are not many overt symptoms, people with very high blood pressure sometimes experience headaches, nausea and a general feeling of being unwell. They may also have reddened eyes.”
The experts also listed other possible symptoms of hypertension:
- Blurred vision
- Nosebleeds
- Shortness of breath
- Chest pain
- Dizziness.
Physicians emphasized that hypertension is by no means an “age-related” disease. According to studies, even young people aged 16 to 24 years old can be its victims.
Endocrinologist Solovieva called non-obvious signs of hypothyroidism a symptom such as dry mouth.
