The use of alcohol by women over 50 is fraught with dangerous consequences, including early menopause and breast cancer.
Mammologist Fatima Tamaeva said in an interview, that the abuse of alcohol at a certain age in women becomes a more destructive factor for health. In particular, women in their 50s (or so) are at greater risk of breast cancer if they drink more than they should.
Doctor: After 40, women become more prone to breast tumors
“Daily consumption of one bottle of beer (500 milliliters) or two glasses of wine increases the likelihood of malignant tumors in the breasts in premenopausal women by approximately five percent, and in postmenopausal women by nine percent,” said mammologist Tamaeva.
Another physician, endocrinologist and nutritionist Olga Kaplina, in turn, noted that too frequent alcohol intake threatens women with earlier menopause. The doctor told the Doctor Peter portal that a 100-ml glass of wine can be considered a relatively safe amount, consumed (importantly) only from time to time, and not regularly.

Earlier, the portal MedikForum.ru wrote that the doctor, hepatologist Maria Prashnova, named a safe amount of alcohol for the liver.
