Therapist Evgeny Bataev spoke about the benefits of turmeric, garlic and onions, legumes and other products that are super-useful in the fight against atherosclerotic plaques.
Therapist Bataev warned that the formation of plaques caused by atherosclerosis processes can seriously threaten human health and shorten life.
“Atherosclerotic plaques narrow the lumen of the arteries, making blood flow difficult and increasing the risk of heart attack, stroke and other serious diseases,” he said in a commentary to Gazeta.Ru.
The doctor drew attention to the fact that the condition of blood vessels and arteries is largely determined by the daily diet. According to Bataev, there are certain nutrients that effectively help in the prevention of atherosclerosis – a pathology in which vascular tissue is at risk of inflammation, loses its elasticity, becomes stiff and becomes covered with formations – plaques. In particular, one of these beneficial substances is omega-3 fatty acids, which have anti-inflammatory properties. Among the foods that contain omega-3 to protect against atherosclerosis, the therapist named fatty fish, flaxseed oil, and walnuts.
In addition, to improve the health of blood vessels, doctor Evgeniy Bataev recommended including foods with the following characteristics in the diet:< ul class="list-marked">
“Garlic is another product that is beneficial for vascular health. It contains allicin, a substance with antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. Garlic reduces cholesterol and triglyceride levels in the blood, improves endothelial function and reduces platelet aggregation,” the doctor added.
Earlier, the MedikForum.ru portal wrote that cardiovascular diseases can be one of the causes of fatigue and loss of energy.
