Kelly Cornick, 39, suffered from severe acne since she was a teenager, claiming “nothing worked” until she tried spironolactone, a blood pressure medication.
The mother-of-three said “nothing seemed to work helped” her acne, adding: “They may go away for a while, but then they will flare up again.”
“At first I started with a lower dose, and there was an improvement . Then I switched to a higher dose and after about three months everything was gone, all the spots were gone,” the woman said.

“The results showed that women who took spironolactone had a significant improvement in acne at 12 and 24 weeks compared to women who took placebo,” says doctor – Dermatologist Grigory Goldin, commenting on the study exclusively for the MedicForum.
